As promised, here are a few more pictures from my backpack trip to Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia. These are from my second day, the hike down the mountain. The weather was nice, albeit a bit hot, but at least he sun was out and blue skies were present. I hung out with the wild ponies for a few minutes at the trail head before hitting the trail. These are the same ponies that came to visit my tent the night before. I guess they figured if it was a good enough place for me to spend the night, that they would too. I took a different trail on the hike down. The scenery was just as beautiful, but I didn't take near as many pictures.
